Staying focused

How do people stay focused nowadays? As an engineer currently working in Growth, I'm constantly amazed by all the new tools that are coming out. I find my backlog of things to learn getting progressively longer and longer. There's no end in sight. I just can't keep up anymore.

Here's an example of the cool stuff I'm trying to follow along:

• Vercel/ Next.js
• All the cool stuff Deno is working on
• Cloudflare workers, V8 Isolates, D2, and this transition to edge computing
• Fly.io
• MicroVMs
• ...

The list goes on. How do people keep up with all the tools? How do people stay focused?
